Module 2 Safer Recruitment Training for Governors, Trustees, Senior Managers and Boards of Management

Under the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006, enacted on 12th October 2009, the chair of any appointment panel now bears personal responsibility for the decisions of the panel. It is a requirement that the Headteacher and Chair of Governors have undertaken this training, with a renewal every five years.
