Basic Awareness (Level 1) Phase 2
For all management, teaching and support staff. This course is aimed at returning clients for their three yearly renewal - delivered in your school or service base. Please contact us to discuss your exact requirements.
This course is appropriate for a follow up session to renew the certificated Basic Awareness qualification after three years. The course addresses issues facing all adults within your school/service, their responsibilities and actions to safeguard children.
The course can be delivered as:
a one day course (5 hours contact time) or as
a half day course (3 hours contact time)
....to any number of delegates in your school or service base.

It is recommended that the training should include all adults within your school or service, as the children decide in whom they will confide and with whom they will interact.
The objectives of the course:
- To increase awareness of the potential for child abuse
- To ensure participants are familiar with changes in the law underpinning child safeguarding
- To ensure participants are familiar with safeguarding procedures
- To explore our role and our shared responsibilities in relation to safeguarding.
