Paul James is Director of Barabarani Education Services.
He has had a career of over thirty five years in school leadership & children’s services. He has worked extensively in three local authorities. He has held roles as LADO (Local Authority Designated Officer: supporting the management of allegations against professionals across agencies), School Advisor (Child Safeguarding & Vulnerable Children), Service Manager (Education Welfare), Lead Officer (Child Safeguarding), member of MAPPP (Public Protection Panel), the Children at Risk of Sexual Exploitation Panel, the LSCB (Local Safeguarding Children Board) & Chair of LSCB Training Committee. He has worked in maintained & independent schools, in UK and overseas, with The Children’s Trust, Directors of Children’s Services, Corporate Parenting Board and partners in Children’s Social Care Services, Health Service, Police, Probation & Youth Offending, and in the Voluntary & Community Sector, working with vulnerable young people. He has also been a foster carer.
He has been trained by The Lucy Faithful Foundation, he is a registered trainer for CEOPS (Child Exploitation On-line Protection Service), and an accredited trainer for Safer Recruitment with the Safer Recruitment Consortium (formerly NCSL/CWDC/DfE).

Michelle HanafiMichelle delivers all levels of safeguarding training and a range of topics specific to working with emotionally damaged children and young people.
Michelle has many years' experience in the field of children's rights and education. She regularly represents children and young people in board and panel hearings, for those in the child protection system, as looked after children and for those with disabilities and learning difficulties. She is a postgraduate in psychotherapy and the arts; working directly with emotionally damaged children and young people. She has delivered numerous training events in schools and at a strategic level within local authorities, social services and national charities.
Linda AlbrightonLinda delivers all levels of safeguarding training.
Linda Albrighton is an experienced trainer of health, social care and education professionals. She was formerly Name Nurse for an NHS trust, with an earlier career in education as a school nurse and has extensive experience of multi-agency work. She has been working for many years as the Named Nurse for Safeguarding and Child Protection in the West Midlands. She is a very experienced trainer, member of MAPPP (Public Protection Panel), member of the Children at Risk of Sexual Exploitation Panel, member of the LSCB (Local Safeguarding Children Board) & Chair of LSCB Training Committee.
Elaine HurryElaine delivers all levels of safeguarding training and an extensive range of topics specific to health, including mental health issues & self-harm in children & young people.
Elaine is a qualified nurse and she has many years’ experience as the Named Nurse for Child Safeguarding in an NHS Trust in the West Midlands. She is a very experienced trainer, member of MAPPP (Public Protection Panel), member of the Children at Risk of Sexual Exploitation Panel, member of the LSCB (Local Safeguarding Children Board) & Chair of LSCB Training Committee.
Clare LucasClare delivers all levels of safeguarding training and a range of topics specific to Social Care & Supported Housing.
Clare has worked for many years with homeless and vulnerable young people, during which she also sat on the management committee of a number of voluntary organisations. She has been a trainer in the Social Care & Supported Housing sector for over ten years, focusing on safeguarding and related skills for frontline workers. She is especially interested in professional boundaries and ethics with relation to working with young people and the impact of social media on this.
Alex FindlayAlex specialises in internet safety training and a range of other topics related to education and ICT
Alex Findlay was a Secondary qualified specialist ICT teacher, but he has now spent seven years working as an ICT Advisor in two Local Authorities (The Wirral and Stockport). He is a CEOPs Ambassador trainer for E-Safety, with extensive experience of delivering Internet Safety workshops in primary and secondary schools.
Angela AllenAngela specialises in internet safety training and a range of other topics related to education and ICT
Angela Allen was a teacher for many years before becoming Senior ICT Advisor for The Wirral. She is a CEOPs Ambassador trainer and has many years of experience of delivering e-safety presentations to children of all ages; in primary and secondary education. She has a significant interest in providing e-safety support for children with Special Educational Needs - with particular expertise in working with children and young people on the Autistic Spectrum.
